When President Obama put forward his goals of doubling U.S. exports over the next five years in his State of the Union address, most economists were unsure of the results. His views on the acts to be undertaken to recover from the economic recession and grim business scenario had few takers. Two years later, The American exports are up 34 percent and the figures continue to rise. Business houses globally are heaving a sigh of relief as things start appearing a little brighter with more employment generation and improvement in the moods of investors and the economy as a whole.

The export business in pork, cattle and all kinds of agricultural produce along with American beer and advanced manufactured goods are looking good as American goods find global markets improving each day.

Jim Caruso, the CEO of Flying Dog is satisfied by the way buyers globally are looking towards purchasing beer from the Maryland based brewery. "Exports are critical to our future, critical to our hiring and our investment, and our optimism in the future," says Greenblatt, the owner of Marlin Steel , a metal working business that employs 30 people and manufactures parts that are shipped across the world.

Tyler Cowen, an economist at George Mason University, who has researched about the American export boom feels that better technology implementation is one of the reasons for the improvement in the export business. In his opinion not every worker or business may necessarily benefit from the changed situation and this may lead to polarization of economic outcomes.

Latest news sources have revealed that prostitutes were entertained in hotel rooms, where meetings were supposed to be conducted among US president Barack Obama and Latin American leaders.
These actions could have caused substantial damage to President's name and personal safety, so several security measures were taken during the time of presidential visit. There have been a number of accusations claiming that the team of secret service agents had entertained prostitutes in the Columbia hotel- just few hours before Mr. Obama's official visit.

According to the Colombian law, it is mandatory for hotel authorities to collect identity cards from the visitors and keep them in the safe until checkout. General Martin Dempsey, who is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, referred to the embarrassing incident by saying "We let the boss down".

This incident has brought embarrassment because of news that prostitutes were entertained in the same hotel rooms in which Mr Obama was supposed to be put up after two days. Mr. Obama said in a statement that "Whatever happened in the hotel rooms of Colombia is being inspected by the director of the Secret Service, and if the accusations made in the news are true, then I'll be quite annoyed."
